In new post-Max Scherzer-to-Nationals odds updated Monday morning by VegasInsider.com, Washington is the favorite to win the World Series while the Tigers are tied for eighth.

The Nationals, with former Tigers Scherzer and Doug Fister now in their rotation, have the best odds at 5-1, followed by the Dodgers (13-2) and Angels (10-1).

The Red Sox, Cubs, Mariners and Cardinals are next at 14-1, and the Tigers follow in a group at 20-1 along with the Orioles, White Sox and Giants.

The Tigers are also fourth at 9-1 in odds to win the ALCS, following the Angels, Red Sox and Mariners.
