Former Tiger Billy Bean subject of documentary

Former Tigers outfielder Billy Bean, one of two former major league baseball players who acknowledged they were gay, is the subject of an hour-long special at 9 p.m. Tuesday on MLB Network.

Bean, who is MLB's ambassador of inclusion, narrates "The Story of Billy Bean," which is hosted by Bob Costas.

Bean played for the Tigers from 1987-89. He also played for the Dodgers and Padres.

The other known gay player was Glenn Burke, who died in 1995.
