Ex-Tiger Chamberlain signs minor-league deal with Jays

The Blue Jays have signed former Tigers right-handed reliever Joba Chamberlain to a minor-league contract.

Chamberlain, 29, was released by the Tigers after going 0-2 with a 4.09 ERA and 1.68 WHIP over 30 appearances and 22 innings this season.

Chamberlain has a career 25-21 record with a 3.82 ERA and 1.38 WHIP in nine seasons with the Yankees and Tigers.
