Minneapolis — The news was good regarding Tigers right-handed pitcher Anibal Sanchez.

He got a thumbs-up after being examined Dr. James Andrews Wednesday. According to the Tigers, he underwent a MRI arthrogram which detected no structural damage in his right shoulder.

He received a platelet-rich plasma injection and will, as expected, be shut down for the rest of the season.

He is expected to resume throwing in November and barring another setback, should be ready to go at the start of spring training.
