Tigers GM Al Avila headlines Detroit Baseball Dinner Jan. 23

Al Avila, who is entering his first full season as Tigers general manager, will be a featured speaker at the 15th annual Detroit Baseball Dinner, set for 6 p.m., Jan. 23, at Bloomfield Hills Country Club.

Avila will be joined by a full Tigers front-office contingent, including assistant GM David Chadd, and chief negotiator John Westhoff.

Also speaking: Dave Chilton, best-selling Canadian author (“The Wealthy Barber”), TV personality (“The Dragon’s Den”) and Tigers student who specializes in business and analytical baseball insight.
