As spring training gets into full swing, the Detroit Tigers’ odds to win the 2016 World Series continue to worsen.
After opening with 20-1 odds back in November, the Tigers now have 30-1 odds to take home their fifth World Series championship and first since 1984, according to the latest odds by Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook.
The Tigers are one of four teams at 30-1, along with the Arizona Diamondbacks, Los Angeles Angels and Chicago White Sox. They also have the third-best odds in the AL Central, trailing the Cleveland Indians (16-1) and defending World Series champion Kansas City Royals (18-1).
The Chicago Cubs enter as the favorite at 4-1 and are the only team with odds in the single digits. The Los Angeles Dodgers and Houston Astros have the second-best odds at 10-1 followed by the Boston Red Sox, New York Mets and San Francisco Giants at 12-1.
The Philadelphia Phillies and Atlanta Braves are the long shots at 500-1.
