Tigers finalize TV announcer schedule for 2016

Tigers World Series hero Kirk Gibson will join Mario Impemba for 60 games this season in the TV booth.

Rod Allen will be the Fox Sports Detroit analyst for 75 Tigers TV games this season and Kirk Gibson will be in the booth for 60, the team announced Monday.

In addition, Jack Morris will provide analysis for 14 games and Craig Monroe will fill that role for six.

The Tigers also announced that Dick Enberg, a Michigan native and member of the Baseball Hall of Fame, will be a special guest play-by-play man on Saturday, May 21 for Detroit’s 4:10 p.m. game against the Rays at Comerica Park.

On the play-by-play side of the booth, Mario Impemba will call 140 games and Dan Dickerson will move over from his radio duties to call 13 games. When Dickerson is on the TV broadcast, Impemba will do radio play-by-play with analyst Jim Price.
