Lakeland, Fla. – The Tigers have an open spot on their 40-man roster.
After the game Friday, the club announced it had outrighted RHP Montreal Robertson, who is out with a shoulder injury.
Robertson was assigned to the minor league camp while he goes through the rehab process.
Robertson, 25, made a big jump last season, going from Class A to Double AA. He pitched well in the Arizona Fall League, as well, earning a spot on the 40-man.
He injured the shoulder while lifting weights early in camp.
