Cameron Maybin has completed his rehab assignment.

Pittsburgh — Decisions will have to be made soon.

Manager Brad Ausmus said the club will re-evaluate the health status of center fielder Cameron Maybin (wrist) on Saturday to determine whether he’s ready to return to the Tigers. Maybin is completing his rehab stint in Toledo.

Also, right-handed reliever Alex Wilson (shoulder) was scheduled to pitch in back-to-back games in Toledo Wednesday and Thursday. A decision on his readiness to return to Detroit would come soon after.

Ausmus admitted it will be tough to determine which pitcher and outfielder to send down to make room for them.

“But it’s a good thing that it’s a tough decision,” he said. “It won’t be a no-brainer, for sure.”

Tyler Collins would seem to be the likely candidate in the outfield. As for the pitching spot, it could possibly be either Logan Kensing or Buck Farmer, though both have pitched well.

Rondon hurt

In Toledo Wednesday, reliever Bruce Rondon was helped off the field before the game after apparently injuring his hamstring.
