The ball bounces off Miguel Cabrera's left knee as he is hit by a pitch on Sunday.

Detroit – Tigers star Miguel Cabrera was hit by a pitch in the left knee Sunday against the Rays and had to leave the game, but he was back in Monday’s lineup against the Phillies.

Cabrera suffered a contusion on his left knee and the Tigers described his condition as day to day.

The pitch was thrown by Rays reliever Dana Eveland as Cabrera led off the seventh inning.
