Tigers prospects see action in MLB Futures Game

Two Tigers prospects made brief appearances in the Major League Baseball Futures Game, won 11-3 Sunday night by the World team in San Diego.

Right-hander reliever Joe Jimenez, at Double A Erie, pitching for the World team, came in with runners at first and third and two out in the second inning and got the third out.

Lakeland outfielder Christin Stewart flied out to right in the seventh for the U.S.

Shortstop Willy Adames, whom the Tigers traded to the Rays in the David Price deal, was the starting shortstop for the World team.
