Tigers' Steven Moya was 1 for 16 before being sent down to Triple A Toledo.

Detroit –  The Tigers are getting their left fielder back.

Justin Upton, who missed Friday and Saturday tending to a death in the family, is expected to be back and in the lineup Sunday.

To make room, the Tigers sent right-fielder Steven Moya back to Triple A Toledo.

Moya had been called up when J.D. Martinez went on the DL, and he got off to a fast start with the bat. But he cooled quickly – 1 for his last 16, 3 for his last 26.

Worse, he was struggling mightily in the outfield. His misplay of a Salvador Perez liner Friday night cost the team two runs. It seemed he was losing confidence, both in the field and at the plate, by the game.

Tyler Collins, who homered on Friday and had an RBI single Saturday, will share right field with Mike Aviles until Martinez gets back, which may not be until early August.
