Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera reached another milestone Tuesday.

Cabrera homered in the first inning against the Red Sox for his 428th career home run, breaking a tie with Mike Piazza for sole possession of 48th place in baseball history.

The homer was Cabrera’s 20th of the season, tying him for the team lead with Ian Kinsler.

Cabrera has eight 20-home run seasons with the Tigers, placing him third on the team's all-time list behind Norm Cash (11) and Al Kaline (9).
