Fox Sports Detroit to carry 7 Tigers spring training games

The Tigers will televise seven spring training games on Fox Sports Detroit and have 21 radio broadcasts of select Grapefruit League games.

The Tigers will have seven games on Fox Sports Detroit and 21 games on radio (97.1 FM and 1270 AM) this spring.

The first radio broadcast will be on 97.1 FM at 1:05 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, when the Tigers host the Orioles.

The first televised game will be 1:05 p.m. Saturday, March 11, when the Tigers play the Yankees in Tampa. The game will be carried on Fox Sports Detroit but the broadcast handled by the New York-based YES network. The March 11 game will also be on 97.1 FM.

Rod Allen, Mario Impemba and Kirk Gibson will alternate as the broadcast team for the five games televised from Lakeland.

Dan Dickerson and Jim Price will call games on 97.1 FM and 1270 AM. Schedule is subject to change due to programming conflicts.
