Tigers agree to minor-league deal with LHP Travis Wood

The Detroit Tigers have agreed to terms on a minor-league deal with left-handed pitcher Travis Wood, 30.

Wood had a 4-7 record with a 6.80 ERA (94 innings pitched, 71 earned runs) last season pitching with the Kansas City Royals and San Diego Padres. He had 39 appearances and 14 starts.

Wood was a 2013 National League All-Star and has a 47-59 career record with four saves, a 4.26 ERA and 801 strikeouts in 298 appearances.

Travis Wood had a 4-7 record with a 6.80 ERA while splitting the 2017 season between the Padres and Royals.
