Bob Wojnowski and Lynn Henning prepare you for Opening Day and the Tigers' 2018 season with a not-so-optimistic look at the rebuilding team's chances.

Detroit — The Tigers Wednesday night took care a few housekeeping items ahead of submitting their 2018 roster to the league office. They were moves that had previously been expected and reported.

They placed right-handed pitchers Mike Fiers (lumbar strain) and Johnny Barbato (forearm strain) on the 10-day disabled list – both retroactive to March 26.

Both would be eligible to return on April 5.

Also, the Tigers added utility man Niko Goodrum to the roster. He was a non-roster invitee this spring.
