Baseball broadcasters get used to working holiday hours.

But Mario Impemba is getting this Memorial Day weekend off, for the wedding of his oldest son, Brett.

"Stress city," Impemba said, joking.

Nothing an open bar can't fix — unless, of course, you're paying for it.

"Yes to both," Impemba texted, adding a few smiley-face emojis.

Matt Shepard will fill in with play-by-play duties on the Tigers' Fox Sports Detroit telecasts this weekend, for the games against the Chicago White Sox at Comerica Park.

Shepard will work alongside analyst Kirk Gibson.

Shepard, the voice of Michigan men's basketball and Eastern Michigan football, is no stranger to Tigers duties. He's a regular contributor on FSD, and earlier this season, he did a game on television as Impemba attended the college graduation of another son, Daniel.

Shepard also has filled in on the radio, when Dan Dickerson lost his voice earlier this month.
