Tigers’ Stewart, Hall earn minor-league honors

The Tigers on Thursday named outfielder Christin Stewart and left-hander Matt Hall the organization’s minor-league player and pitcher of the year, respectively.

Both were September call-ups for the Tigers.

Stewart had 23 home runs, 77 RBIs and a .480 slugging percentage with Toledo, while Hall had a 2.13 ERA and 135 strikeouts across Double-A Erie and Triple-A Toledo.

In other Tigers news, RHP Johnny Barbato cleared waivers and was outrighted to Toledo.
