Detroit — Quicken Loans has announced that for the third straight year, it will sponsor the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix.

The popular event will be held May 29-31 and has part of a Verizon IndyCar Series with full championship races on back to back days on Belle Isle.

The Saturday and Sunday races will be the only doubleheader race weekend in the IndyCar Series schedule and will be crucial to securing the series championship.

"The Chevrolet Dual in Detroit presented by Quicken Loans was the first IndyCar doubleheader race weekend hosted by the series in 2013 and we're excited that our event will continue as the only twin race weekend in 2015," said Bud Denker, chairman of the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix.

"We welcome Quicken Loans back as the presenting sponsor of the Dual in Detroit and we love the doubleheader race format on the tough Belle Isle street circuit."

Quicken Loans, which employs more than 9,000 persons, has served as the presenting sponsor of the Dual in Detroit since the doubleheader race format first began on Belle Isle in 2013.
