Former MSU star Draymond Green lands on SI cover

Former Michigan State star and Golden State Warrior behemoth Draymond Green graces the cover of the latest SI, opening up about what makes him such a dominating personality.

Says the Saginaw native in the piece, “My fire is my gift and my curse… I harness it 95 percent of the time, but the 5 percent I don’t, it works against me.”

On being a spitfire in the amicable world of the Warriors: "Everything can’t be sweet… Everything can’t be peaches and cream. There are times I feel like I just have to start yelling at people. I don’t even know about what. It doesn’t even matter. They get mad at me for a couple days, but I think it gives them back that life.”

The power forward also provides some insight on coach Steve Kerr’s wild personality and reveals how he watches the WNBA in his spare time.
