Report: Warriors’ Draymond Green subject of assault lawsuit
Former Michigan State star Draymond Green of the NBA champion Golden State Warriors could be in trouble again.
Green is the subject of a civil lawsuit charging him with assault and battery. ABC News reported that a news conference is scheduled for Tuesday in Woodland Hills, California.
An unnamed man and woman claim in the suit “physical assault, bullying and misleading statements made by Mr. Green that they claim have severely impacted their lives.”
The couple is represented by attorney Lisa Bloom, at whose office the news conference will take place.
Green last year was charged with misdemeanor assault against former MSU football player Jermaine Edmondson. He paid $560 after a plea agreement and the charge was dropped.
ESPN reported that the civil lawsuit against Green could stem from that incident.
"I am just letting my attorneys handle the situation," Green told ESPN. "I am hopeful and confident this will be resolved soon."
