Now, that’s just turrrrible.
Loud-mouth TNT basketball analyst Charles Barkley ripped into Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green on Tuesday night, saying he’d like to punch the former Michigan State star.
Barkley’s comments came at halftime of the Warriors-Pelicans game, after Green and Rajon Rondo got into a face-to-face, heated altercation before heading to the locker room.
“I just want somebody to punch him in the face, I really do,” Barkley said. “I want to punch his (bleep) in the face.
“You asked me a question.”
The Warriors won, 121-116, to take a 2-0 lead in the series.
Afterward, Green was asked about Sir Charles’ pointed comments, and Green wasn’t having any of it.
“A lot of guys talk on the TV stand, behind a microphone on a TV screen,” Green said. “He’s seen me a million times. If he feels that strongly about it, then punch me in my face when you see me.
“If you’re going to punch me in my face when you see me ... it’s no different than somebody sitting behind a computer screen tweeting, ‘I’ll knock you out,’ and you’ll never see them in life. Well, he’s seen me a bunch of times, and he’ll see me again this year. Punch me in the face when you see me, or nobody cares what you would have done. You’re old, and it is what it is.”
Now, them are fighting words.
