Pistons center Aaron Gray will miss training camp while rehabbing from a cardiac episode, the team announced Monday.
Gray had the episode after a voluntary workout in late August.
Gray, signed by the Pistons as a free agent this past offseason to back up Andre Drummond, is seeking advice from cardiac specialists to determine a timetable for a return.
Gray, 29, averaged 1.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and 9.6 minutes in 37 games combined last season with Toronto and Sacramento.
This is his eighth NBA season after being drafted by the Bulls in the second round in 2007 out of the University of Pittsburgh.
