Drummond’s offer to All-Star voters is snow joke

The Detroit News

Pistons center Andre Drummond is making one last push for All-Star votes. Or, maybe it’s a slide.

Drummond, according to the most recent voting results released Thursday, is sitting in fourth among frontcourt players for the Eastern Conference. The top three earn starting spots in the Feb. 14 showcase in Toronto, and voting ends Monday.

The Pistons’ 22-year-old star took to social media to strike a bargain with voters. And it sounds cold.

"Help me rep Detroit at @NBAAllStar!," Drummond tweeted. "50k RTs, I'll do a slide shirtless in the snow! #NBAVOTE Andre Drummond"

Drummond has 361,307 votes, about 7,000 fewer than Carmelo Anthony of the Knicks. LeBron James (830,345) and the Indiana Pacers’ Paul George (569,947) lead the Eastern Conference frontcourt players.

Drummond is averaging 17.8 points, 15.5 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks in 40 games this season.
