The NBA draft is less than a month away, and for a talent crop that was projected to be a drop from previous years — or from next year’s group — several teams are looking forward to immediate improvement with their picks.

The 76ers have three first-round selections, including the No. 1 overall pick, while the Celtics, Suns and Nuggets have three choices each in the first 30. There’s plenty of talent among the lottery picks, but after that, scouts will have to do extra work to get some good value in the bargain bin.

After the lottery, there could be a flurry of trades as teams — including the Pistons, possibly — look to move back in the draft or out of the first round and its guaranteed contracts.
