Miami — The injuries just keep coming for the Pistons.
After getting Avery Bradley back from a groin issue, the Pistons are without center Andre Drummond, who suffered a right rib contusion and missed Wednesday’s matchup against the Miami Heat.
Drummond had played in all 35 games this season and posted 14.3 points, a league-best 15.2 rebounds and a career-high 3.7 assists. Boban Marjanovic moved into the starting role, his first in his two seasons with the Pistons.
The Pistons (20-15) also were without Reggie Jackson (sprained ankle), Stanley Johnson (hip flexor strain) and Jon Leuer (sprained ankle).
It’s unclear how Drummond sustained the injury, but the Pistons’ depth will be tested in the next few days, as they face the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday and Houston Rockets on Saturday.
