The Detroit News

Former Michigan standout and ex-NFL wide receiver Braylon Edwards was arrested for drunken driving last week in Scottsdale, Ariz., according to gossip site TMZ Sports.

Edwards, 32, who played at UM from 2001-04, was stopped by police during the morning of May 4 and had a blood alcohol level of .20, which is more than twice the legal limit.

He was also arrested for drunken driving in 2010. Two years ago, he was named in a police report after a photographer claimed Edwards roughed him up outside a Detroit nightclub when trying to film the third overall pick in the 2005 NFL draft.

Edwards played for the Browns, Jets (twice), 49ers and Seahawks before retiring in 2013.
