Ex-Lions safety Delmas tears ACL during Dolphins practice

Spartanburg, S.C. — Miami Dolphins safety Louis Delmas has again torn the ACL in his right knee during a scrimmage with the Carolina Panthers.

Delmas, formerly of the Lions, was carted off the practice field Wednesday after injuring the same ACL he tore last December against the Baltimore Ravens.

The latest injury occurred during the first of two days of scrimmages against the Panthers at Wofford College. It came moments after Panthers wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin was carted off the field with a leg injury.

The Miami Herald indicated that Delmas was likely lost for the season.
