Indianapolis — Former Michigan State offensive tackle Jack Conklin ran the fourth fastest 40-yard dash among offensive lineman at the NFL combine Friday.

A projected first-round pick, Conklin finished the sprint in 5 seconds, a time that shows he has the desired athleticism to be an offensive tackle in the NFL.

Former Indiana offensive tackle Jason Spriggs led all offensive linemen with a 4.94-second run.

Friday’s workouts featured offensive linemen, running backs and specialists. Former Western Michigan offensive tackle Willie Beavers ran the 40-yard dash in 5.28 seconds. Former Michigan State center Jack Allen ran it 5.29 seconds.
