Minneapolis — After sitting out Sunday's win over the Vikings, Lions running back Reggie Bush said he'll "for sure" be healthy enough to play against the New Orleans Saints this week.

Bush missed Sunday's game with an ankle injury he suffered in the Lions' loss to the Buffalo Bills. He missed every practice in the week leading up to the game and was questionable before being ruled out Sunday.

The Lions had their second-best rushing effort of the season without Bush in the 17-3 win over Minnesota, running for 100 yards, led by Joique Bell's 74 on 18 carries.

Bush said outside the Lions' locker room he planned to play against New Orleans, the team that drafted him second overall in 2006.

Though Bush spent two years with the Miami Dolphins before signing with the Lions in 2013, Sunday's game would be his first against the team with which he spent his first five NFL seasons. Bush also won a Super Bowl with the Saints in 2009.
