LaAdrian Waddle takes reps with Lions' first team
Allen Park — Right tackle LaAdrian Waddle practiced Wednesday and took reps with the Lions' first-team offensive line while wearing knee braces, a good sign for his availability against the Arizona Cardinals next Sunday.
Waddle, who was a limited participant, missed the fourth quarter of the Lions' win over the Miami Dolphins after suffering a knee injury, but said Wednesday he feels "pretty good."
All of the Lions' tight ends were full participants, which is good news for the ailing unit. Joseph Fauria (ankle) hasn't played since Week 3, Eric Ebron (hamstring) has missed the last three games and Brandon Pettigrew (foot) played through injury Sunday. If any of the three can't play this week, Kellen Davis will continue to have a role.
The only absences were running back Reggie Bush (ankle), defensive tackle Nick Fairley (knee), offensive guard Larry Warford (knee) and wide receiver Calvin Johnson (ankle) all missed practice, but Johnson said Wednesday his ankle felt fine after his first game since Week 5.
"It came through good, no worse for wear, so that's a big plus," Johnson said.
Bush hardly played after the first drive Sunday because he aggravated his ankle injury. Whether or not he can play in Arizona, Joique Bell and Theo Riddick will continue to play a significant role out of the backfield.
Long snapper Don Muhlbach was also limited with an ankle injury.
