With Dominic Raiola suspended for Sunday's NFC North showdown against the Green Bay Packers, the Lions promoted Darren Keyton from the practice squad.

Keyton can play center or guard and will provide depth behind rookie Travis Swanson, who will start for Raiola, and Rodney Austin. In his second season out of Central Michigan, this is Keyton's first time on a 53-man roster in the NFL.

The NFL suspended Raiola one game after he stomped on Bears defensive tackle Ego Ferguson's ankle last week. Barring injury, Keyton's stay on the active roster will likely last just one week.

The Lions play the Packers at Lambeau Field at 4:25 p.m. Sunday.
