Free safety Glover Quin won't be the only Lions player in the Pro Bowl after all.

Wide receiver Golden Tate will join Quin in the annual All-Star game next Sunday at University of Phoenix Stadium, replacing Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin.

Tate was certainly worthy of the honor after having 99 catches for 1,331 yards and four touchdowns in his first season with the Lions. His receptions and yardage were both career highs after playing four years in Seattle.

Fellow Lions Ndamukong Suh and Calvin Johnson both declined invitations to the Pro Bowl. Johnson and Tate are the first Lions receiver tandem to earn Pro Bowl honors in the same season.

Linebacker DeAndre Levy and quarterback Matthew Stafford could still head to the game if more alternates are needed.
