Undrafted wide receiver Desmond Lawrence was cut by the Lions on Monday.

The Lions found three tryout players in rookie minicamp they liked enough to sign last weekend, but one of their rookie free agents won't be returning for organized team activities.

On Monday, the team announced it had cut former North Carolina A&T wide receiver Desmond Lawrence, who was one of the Lions' initial 12 undrafted rookies signed last week.

The 5-foot-9, 190-pound Lawrence was also a track star and ran the 40-yard dash in the 4.3s during his pro day. The Lions on Sunday signed two tryout wide receivers, Erik Lora (who went undrafted in 2014) and Jarred Haggins.

With the signing of Lora, Haggins and safety Nathan Lindsey and the waiving of Lawrence becoming official, the Lions now have 87 players signed to the 90-man roster.
