Lions fans will have a chance to see their team outside of Allen Park headquarters during training camp this summer.

On Wednesday Aug. 5, the Lions will have an open practice at Novi High, and later in camp, they'll have another practice at Dearborn Edsel Ford, though that date hasn't yet been set.

It is not known if the practice at Edsel Ford will be open to the public.

In 2014, the Lions hosted a practice at Wayne State's Adams Field and drew nearly 9,000 people. This year, the Lions won't be returning to the Detroit college, but will practice instead at the two high schools.

Novi's football stadium can hold about 3,500 people and had synthetic turf installed last year. Edsel Ford's stadium has a capacity of between 2,500 and 3,000 people, but has fencing where others can stand closer to the field.

Lions training camp begins Aug. 3, and the full schedule, along with details about attending the two high school practices, should be available soon.
