Allen Park — Lions linebacker DeAndre Levy missed practice for the second day in a row Wednesday.

Unlike Tuesday, though, Levy was watching his fellow linebackers go through team drills on Wednesday, and for now, it appears his injury is not serious, though it remains to be seen whether he’ll play in Friday’s exhibition at Jacksonville.

In addition to Levy, rookie cornerback Alex Carter (ankle) was an observer Wednesday. He practiced as a limited participant the past few days, and it looks like he won’t make his preseason debut Friday.

Defensive end Ezekiel Ansah, linebacker Kyle Van Noy, cornerback Chris Owens, defensive tackle Caraun Reid and guard Larry Warford were also out.

The Lions will not release an official injury report until the regular season.
