A little more than a month after joining the Lions, assistant offensive line coach Ryan Silverfield is leaving for a new job.
According to a Sports Illustrated report Monday, Silverfield will be the next offensive line coach at Memphis.
Silverfield worked at Arizona State as a senior offensive analyst earlier this year before the Lions hired him to replace Terry Heffernan in November. Heffernan was the assistant offensive line coach before he, offensive line coach Jeremiah Washburn and offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi were fired in late October.
At Memphis, Silverfield will reunite with incoming coach Mike Norvell, who was the offensive coordinator for the Sun Devils.
