Report: Eagles to pick Jim Schwartz to lead 'D'
The Detroit News
The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to name former Lions head coach Jim Schwartz as defensive coordinator, nj.com reports.
ABC-affiliate WPVI Channel 6 first reported the hiring. Schwartz, 49, is expected to be the first hire by new Eagles coach Doug Pederson, who will be introduced at a press conference at 2 p.m. Tuesday, the report said.
The report comes after it was reported Schwartz was interviewing for the same position with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday. Schwartz went 29-51 as Detroit’s head coach (2009-13). He was out of the league in 2015 after serving as Buffalo’s defensive coordinator in 2014.
