Seahawks' OT Russell Okung reportedly will visit Lions
The Lions are planning to do more research on one of the top free agents left on the market.
Russell Okung, the starting left tackle for the Seahawks the last six seasons, plans to visit the Lions, according to multiple reports.
NFL Network first reported the news of Okung planning to visit the Lions and New York Giants. According to ESPN, he will go to the Giants on Friday and visit the Lions after.
Okung, 28, was the sixth overall pick by Seattle in 2010. He's had injury issues over his career and never played 16 games in a season, averaging 12 per year. He hurt his shoulder in the Seahawks' playoff loss to the Panthers.
Okung is representing himself in negotiations for his new contract.
