Darius Johnson

One of the Lions' tryout players must've been impressive during rookie minicamp this weekend.

The Lions announced the signing of offensive lineman Darius Johnson on Sunday after the conclusion of the three days of practice.

The 6-foot-3, 285-pound Johnson played both tackle and guard during his time at Middle Tennessee State before going undrafted last week.

In addition to signing Johnson, the Lions waived offensive tackle Tyrus Thompson, who was on the practice squad for part of 2015.
