It looks like Bob Quinn didn’t waste much time filling out his personnel staff after the draft ended.

According to a report by Inside the League, the Lions hired two scouts on Friday, Brendan Prophett as director of pro scouting and Scott Sika as an area scout. The team has not yet confirmed the report.

Prophett joins the Lions after spending last season with New Orleans, but he spent the previous 15 years with the New York Jets. From 2007 until he left for the Saints in 2015, Prophett was director of pro personnel for the Jets, which is simply a different title for the same position he’ll have in Detroit.

Prophett fills a vacancy that’s been open for months with general manager Bob Quinn firing Sheldon White, who was vice president of pro personnel, in February. The Lions didn’t rush to fill that job because Quinn arrived with a deep knowledge of the free-agent class, and the team spent much of the past couple months focused on the draft.

Sika was with Atlanta the past three years, spending 2015 as an area scout in the northeast. He was a scouting assistant for the Falcons the previous two years. It’s unclear which area he’ll scout for Detroit.
