Detroit — Just hours before the team's preseason finale against the Buffalo Bills, the Detroit Lions announced the re-signing of wide receiver Quinshad Davis. To clear room on the roster, the team waived linebacker Chi Chi Ariguzo.

Davis, an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina, was part of Monday's roster purge to get down to the mandatory 75 players. The big-bodied target, who stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 218 pounds, caught three passes for 27 yards in the first three exhibition games. Last Saturday, against Baltimore, he dropped a long pass near the sideline and had another target broken up in the end zone by a Ravens defensive back.

Ariguzo had joined the Lions earlier this month. A undrafted free agent out of Northwestern in 2015, he initially spent time with the San Diego Chargers. He played 49 defensive snaps in the three exhibition contests.

Detroit bolstered its linebacking corps earlier this week, claiming Jayson DiManche off waivers from the Cincinnati Bengals.
