Center Gabe Ikard was waived by the Lions Friday night.

Detroit Lions center Gabe Ikard (65) goes up against Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Jerel Worthy (94) during the first half Thursday.

Ikard played one game with the Lions last season after the team claimed him off waivers from Cleveland in December. He spent time with Buffalo where he played in three games before joining the Browns.

The 6-foot-4, 305-pound third-year pro was expected to be in battle for a backup spot on the offensive line, especially after the Lions drafted former Michigan standout Graham Glasgow in the third round.

The Lions roster is at 74 players.
