Chicago – The Detroit Lions will be down a third defensive starter against the Bears as safety Tavon Wilson is inactive for the contest.

Wilson suffered a neck injury against Green Bay last week, and despite being a limited participant all three days of practice this week, he was unable to get cleared for the game. Rafael Bush is expected to start in Wilson’s place.

The Lions had previously announced linebacker DeAndre Levy (quad) and defensive end Ziggy Ansah (ankle) were out.

Also inactive for the Lions are guard Joe Dahl, offensive tackle Cornelius Lucas, wide receiver Aaron Dobson and cornerback Adairius Barnes.

As expected, the Bears will be without starting quarterback Jay Cutler (thumb). Veteran Brian Hoyer of Michigan State will start in his place.

Chicago is also down its top two running backs, Jeremy Langford (MSU) and Ka’Deem Carey, opening the way for rookie Jordan Howard to get his first start. Former Lion Joique Bell is active for the game after signing earlier this week.

Also out for the Bears are defensive starters Danny Trevathan and Eddie Goldman.
