Houston -- The Detroit Lions are getting some reinforcements against the Houston Texans, but remain without defensive tackle Haloti Ngata.

Detroit Lions defensive tackle Haloti Ngata will sit out a third consecutive game.

Ngata will miss his third consecutive game while recovering from a shoulder injury. He practice all week, but in a limited capacity.

The Lions are getting back tight end Eric Ebron and running back Theo Riddick after multi-game absences. Ebron was questionable coming into the contest with knee and ankle injuries.

The improved health across the roster has led to some surprising healthy scratches. Defensive end Anthony Zettel, running back Dwayne Washington and tight end Cole Wick are all inactive. Also out are offensive tackle Corey Robinson (ankle), cornerback Darius Slay (hamstring) and linebacker DeAndre Levy (knee/quad).

Slay and Levy were ruled out earlier in the week.
