Detroit -- With the roster closing in on full strength, the Detroit Lions surprisingly announced defensive tackle Tyrunn Walker will be inactive against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Walker has had a disappointing season after re-signing with the Lions this offseason. A starter the first eight games, he lost that job to Khyri Thornton just before the bye. With Haloti Ngata healthy and Stefan Charles emerging as a reliable run stopper, Walker is the odd man out.

Also inactive for the Lions are linebacker DeAndre Levy, cornerback Adairius Barnes, wide receiver Corey Fuller, running back Justin Forsett, offensive tackle Cornelius Lucas and guard Joe Dahl.

Levy, who returned to practice this week after an eight-game absence, had been ruled doubtful for the contest. The remaining players, like Walker, are healthy scratches.
