Allen Park – The Detroit Lions made another deal on Saturday, inking former Michigan State wide receiver Keshawn Martin.

The Detroit Lions added another player on Saturday, signing free agent receiver Keshawn Martin.

A fourth-round pick in 2012, Martin has played four seasons with the Houston Texans, New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers. He’s appeared in 58 games, including 10 starts, recording 62 receptions for 685 yards and five touchdowns.

The 5-foot-10, 190-pound Inkster native also has plenty of experience returning kicks. He’s averaged 9.1 yards on punts and 25.0 yards on kickoffs for his career.

Martin is the seventh free agent the Lions have added since the signing period opened on Thursday. He joins other newcomers offensive tackle Rick Wagner, linebacker Paul Worrilow, defensive tackle Akeem Spence, defensive end Cornelius Washington, cornerback D.J. Hayden and tight end Darren Fells.
