Lions to hold joint walkthrough with Patriots

Allen Park The day before the Detroit Lions host the New England Patriots for a preseason game at Ford Field on Friday, Aug. 25, the teams will share the practice field for a joint walkthrough.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick confirmed the news during a press conference Wednesday morning.

It's the second instance of the Lions working closely with another team this offseason. The Lions previously announced they will share a practice field with the Colts in Indianapolis for two days leading up to the preseason opener between the two teams.

Last year, the Lions practiced with the Pittsburgh Steelers prior to the team’s preseason game.

Next month’s walkthrough with the Patriots will be conducted at the Lions’ Allen Park practice facility and will not be open to the media.
