Allen Park — The Detroit Lions received some good news and some bad news on the injury front when the team’s veterans reported to training camp Saturday morning.

The good news — rookie cornerback Teez Tabor and offensive tackle Cyrus Kouandjio were both activated off the non-football injury list.

The bad news — the team has temporarily lost four to injury, including defensive end Ziggy Ansah and offensive tackle Greg Robinson.

Ansah, along with guard Brandon Thomas, were placed on the physically unable to perform list. Robinson, and defensive end Cornelius Washington will start camp with non-football injuries.

That means the Lions will be down four defensive ends to start camp with Armonty Bryant and Jeremiah Valoaga being placed on PUP earlier this week. That should lead to increased opportunities for young players Anthony Zettel, Pat O’Connor and Alex Barrett.
