Allen Park — After one offensive tackle retired, the Detroit Lions added another on Monday.

The Lions announced the team has signed veteran Nick Becton to replace Tony Hills, who has been placed on the reserved/retired list.

Becton, an undrafted free agent out of Virginia Tech in 2013, has spent time with the San Diego Chargers, New Orleans Saints and Chicago Bears, appearing in six games.

The Lions had signed Hills in the immediate aftermath of Taylor Decker’s shoulder injury last month in June. The 32-year-old tackle had played for 10 different teams prior to joining the Lions.

In addition to the tackle swap, the team announced safety Roland Milligan has been activated from the physically unable to perform list.
